Vital Ipswich Prediction League 2011/12!

Vital Ipswich Prediction League 2011/12!

The Vital Ipswich Prediction League is back up and running for the new 2011/12 season with a £25 prize up for grabs!

Each week, eight fixtures from around England will be posted on the Prediction League forum and it's up to you to predict the final scores. To play each round, simply reply to the thread with your score predictions. The points for each prediction are then awarded as follows:

Completely wrong outcome: Score -1
e.g. You predict Ipswich 1-1 Chelsea and the result is Ipswich 1-2 Chelsea.

Correct outcome but wrong goal difference: Score +2
e.g. You predict Ipswich 2-1 Chelsea and the result is Ipswich 4-2 Chelsea

Correct outcome and correct goal difference: Score +3
e.g. You predict Ipswich 2-1 Chelsea and the result is Ipswich 3-2 Chelsea

Draw predicted correctly but incorrect result: Score +4
e.g. You predict Ipswich 2-2 Chelsea and the result is Ipswich 1-1 Chelsea

Correct exact result: Score +6
e.g. You predict Ipswich 1-2 Chelsea and the result is Ipswich 1-2 Chelsea

This season includes a new feature which requires you to nominate one of your predictions as a 'JOKER' fixture. This will be scored as above but the points will be DOUBLED, so there's a maximum of 12 points to be had if you predict correctly, but you will lose 2 points if you're completely wrong!

Fixtures will be posted every weekend as well as occasional midweek bonus rounds, so make sure you check out the forums regularly to see when you can play. Score updates and the league table will be posted as soon as possible after each round.

As with last season, there will be a £25 prize available for the champion at the end of the season. Last year's winner was ShannockSid for the second year in a row, so can anyone knock the defending champion off his perch?

The first round has now been played, but everyone is welcome to join in the league at any stage throughout the season.

If you have any questions about the league, don't hesitate to contact the Site Editor (Me!) using the envelope icon below and on the site homepage.

Good luck, folks!
