Injuries Weren't An Excuse - Jewell

Paul Jewell has refused to blame our early injuries for the loss against Millwall today.

Speaking to itfc.co.uk following the game, Jewell said.

'The injuries didn't help, but we are not looking at that as an excuse. The goals we gave away were hugely disappointing. We get caught out on the counter attack and it happened again today.'

The team can certainly expect some tough training before the next game with Jewell adding.

'We've got too many players who want to do their own thing, we want to play as though we are three up but we didn't hurt anyone.'

I think the time for the tough training should have been after the Palace defeat PJ, Sounds as if you were a bit soft on them. I think the Chopra stuff has been a distraction and caused the squad to lose focus....Time to stop the rot PJ and get back to winnings ways against Doncaster on Saturday....An ugly 1-0 home win will do me....
