Ipswich midfielder scores for Ireland

Wayne Andrews played a huge part in helping the Repubic of Ireland in their 4-0 win over Estonia in a Euro play-off game.
The Blues midfielder, on loan from Blackburn Rovers, also played a part in another goal when provided a free kick, which was saved but followed by Robbie Keane.
Former Ipswich forward Jon Walters achieved one of his dreams when he netted for the Irish and a second by Keane completed the scoring.
Walters, now with Stoke City, revealed during his Town days how his ambition was to play for the Republic as a tribute to his Dublin-born mother.
It was another big moment for former Town players when Jordan Rhodes made his debut for the senior Scotland side after going on as a sub in their 2-1 win over Cyprus.
Rhodes has been in phenomenal scoring form for Huddersfield this season with 14 goals to his name already, and many Town fans believe it was a mistake for Ipswich to sell him.

Great to see Wayne score for the Irish who surely are now through to the Euros. Let's hope he can reproduce such form for Town next week against Forest.

Regarding Jordan Rhodes. I still rue the day that Roy Keane sold him to Hudderfield. I still don't know what happened on that pre-season trip to the ROI, He was our 20 a season man in the making and we let him slip through our fingers. Hudderfields gain, our loss.
