DJ Campbell Signs For Ipswich

DJ Campbell has signed a three-month loan deal with the Blues and goes straight into the squad to face Cardiff.

Paul Jewell tried to sign Campbell the Barnsley game as cover for the the injured Paul Taylor and Michael Chopra but it appeared he had chosen to go back to his old club Blackpool.

After scoring for fun in the non-league with Chesham, Stevenage Borough, Billericay Town and Yeading, where he hit the headlines in the FA Cup, he was snapped up by Brentford and then Premier League club Birmingham.

Since then, the Londoner played for Leicester, Derby and Blackpool before returning to QPR again last summer for a fee of £1.2 million but hardly figured.

Quite happy with these loan deals, might just be the shake up our squad needs to kickstart our poor start to the season....Our record against Cardiff has been eally good over the last few seasons....So here is hoping for a good show..
