'If It's Football, It's Vital'

New Ipswich Signing Targets International Football

Paul jewell ensued Ipswich will not run short of midfielders by signing Nigel Reo-Coker until January.

Free agent Reo-Coker, 28, has been without a club since quitting Bolton following their relegation but feels he still has enough quality to play for England.

He said: 'I believe I still have the quality to be an international player.' At Ipswich, who are bottom but one in the Championship after 10 games, he hopes to prove it. 'It's a fantastic club, very well structured, and a lot of people would say a sleeping giant. I had good conversations with the manager [Paul Jewell], who's a well respected manager, done a lot in the game.'

The former Wimbledon, West Ham and Aston Villa midfielder thought he would have been signed by another top level club by now but feels foriegn imports have been a cheaper option.

He said: 'You get a lot of guys come over who know nothing about the League or the club they are signing for and just want the money,' he says. 'I spoke to clubs this season that decided to gamble on a foreign player with no experience in England over me. I know I am better than a lot of these guys and I played in the Premier League long enough to prove that I can perform at that level.'

It will be interesting to see whose place he takes, and what he can add to the Blues who are still in need of decent defenders and a finisher.

What a nob. Leaving us coz he didn't want Championship Football then signing for a team below us in the Table.

You are only four points ahead of us, you've lost a decent manager, and we now have players to soon bounce up that table.
