Bradley In Orr Of Move To Ipswich

Ipswich are close to bringing in Bradley Orr on loan, according to the nationals.

The Blues have been weak at right back for some time with Luke Chambers moving there last week in the win over Burnley with Carlos Edwards going back to his natural place at right back.

Orr is out of favour at Blackburn with new manager Henning Berg preferring youngster Adam Henley leaving the former Bristol City and QPR man facing a spell on the bench.

as well as being a solid defender Orr also has a decent shot, especially from set plays.

Just a few points on your new man. I think 'the former Bristol City and QPR man' sums him up perfectly. He is a bang average Championship player. He'll be solid enough most of the time but will let his man go from time to time. He has a good cross but doesn't get forward enough to use it. To be fair, he was always Steve Kean's man and earned the eternal contempt of Rovers fans by coming out and slating the fans and sucking up to Kean within an hour of relegation last year so I'm biased in the extreme. Berg has been in charge for a week and has decided to allow him to leave. Draw your own conclusions...

Needs must for us. We could do with a right back, as Carlos has done OK but is better going forward than actually defedning.

Sometimes a player just doesn't fit at a certain club but suits another (Kevin Davies flopping diabolically for us then suddenly becoming quality at Bolton springs to mind). Hopefully you'll get more out of Orr than we ever could.

we need all the help we can get as Mick attempts build a decent squad that will help us climb the table....The old sayng comes to mind....One mans rubbish , another mans treasure....
