Town Still Scrapping

Blues boss Mick McCarthy accepted a poinr against fellow srugglers Bristol City but was not overly impressed with the performance.

"It was probably a fair result in the end. We could have lost it but we could have won it," McCarthy told the club website.

"We didn`t start the game well and struggled to contain them. They played well to be fair and I was happy to get them in at the break all square.

"We were better in the second-half and had chances and opportunities to create chances but in the end we were nowhere near our best and I`ll take the point.

"That`s the positive out of the game, that we got something out of it but it`s going to be a battle all through the rest of the season. I`ve said that from the first day, we are going to have to scrap all the way to the end of the season."

What we doesn't mention is that it was a drab display and we looked to have gone backwards.
