Ipswich v Barnsley Close To Being Called Off

Ipswich v Barnsley Close To Being Called Off

The Blues' Championship match against Barnsley on Saturday is in serious doubt due to safety issues around the ground.

With heavy snow falling overnight and more forecast over the next 24 hours, the police are advising people not to drive and the approaches to the Portman Road ground could be tricky.

Although the pitch has been covered for the last week and is playable there are understandably safety concerns with snow and ice around the stadium and that could lead to a postponement.
