Blues Target Blackpool Defender

Mick McCarthy is poised to offer former Rangers and Scotland defender Kirk Broadfoot the chance to join Ipswich Town.
Broadfoot, who will be 30 in August, has been offered a new deal to stay at Blackpool but Vital Football has learned he is open to a Portman Road switch.
McCarthy, who is currently in New York, will speak with the player and his agent on his return ready with a two year deal, with the possibility of a third year.
Derby County are also keen on the former St Mirren favourite who had a troubled time with rangers when they were in the SPL, and has represented his country four times at senior level.

Good, solid defender, but at 30 is he a bit old?

I think he can still to a job for us. Reminds me of Jamie Clapham. Has that ability to get up and support the strikers and gets a couple of goals a season.....
