Williams Delighted To See Loan Extended

Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams has said he is delighted that a deal was able to be agreed that will see him remain at the club until the end of the current season as ultimately he's enjoyed his time with us so far, and he wants to keep playing first team football.

Speaking to the Official Site after the deal had been announced, the Welsh 20 year old said opf his extended stay.

'I'm delighted to be extending the loan because I've really enjoyed my time at Ipswich. It's been a great experience for me and I've loved working under the manager and Terry Connor. I'm excited to get back training with the lads and playing my part as we try and push into the Play Offs.'

Available for our remaining games during the normal season now, and subject to Palace not enacting the 24 hour recall clause they have on him, the deal could be extended further to cover any successful play off campaign we have this season so Williams will no doubt be hoping to double his appearance tally for us so far, and preferably add to his goal scoring column as well.

As we head into the next fixtures it's also good news for Mick McCarthy as it means he can plan appropriately and hopefully we can carry on where we have left off.
