Anderson - I Won't Score Many Better Than That

Having scored a spectacular curled effort into the net to open the scoring in last night's game against Huddersfield Town, midfielder Paul Anderson told the Official Site that although obviously setting us on the way to a two nil victory and all three points as we continue to try and mount a late push for the play offs was all important, on a personal level he was delighted with the goal but knows he isn't likely to score many better than that one in the future.

A dominant display from Ipswich gave us a well earned victory when Daryl Murphy doubled our advantage, and we now see ourselves sat two points off the final play off spot, level with Brighton and Bournemouth.

'It's a massive win for us and it keeps us right in the mix. We started the game really well and we could have put the game to bed earlier than we did, because we created a lot of chances. But we've ground the game out and we're all delighted with the win.'

As for his own goal on the night he jokes he's not likely to 'hit many better than that with my left foot!' but I doubt anybody will be arguing if he can do it again in the next match.

'It's great so score but although it's a cliche, the main thing is getting the three points.'

Five massive games remaining for us now, starting with Doncaster this Saturday, and if we can put the Blackburn disappointment behind us and respond with two back to back victories we will only push ourselves closer to where we want to be.
