Berra Looking To End On A High

Despite the disappointment of missing out on a play off place at almost the final furlong, defender Christophe Berra has called on Ipswich to end, what has been a good season for us, on a big high by going out with victory and another three points.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game against Sheffield Wednesday this Saturday, Berra said.

'Neither side can get promoted or relegated but we will be professional and we will be up for the game, there's no doubt about that.'

Berra says that irrespective of what could be riding on a game, or not in this case, for players once they go over the line it is about pleasing the fans, it is about doing their jobs and it always comes down to pride at the bottom of it, because no professional player wants to work all week and then for 90 minutes and come out on the losing side.

'We will go out there and hopefully we can get the three points for the supporters and we can go into a well deserved summer break on a winning note.'

A victory this weekend would certainly help take the edge of any disappointment felt by not clinching that play off spot and it would be the way to go out, and set us up for the next campaign where maybe we can go one or two better.

Everybody should certainly come back ready to go again, and then with the manager no doubt tweaking things to improve us, hopefully the bridge we couldn't gap this season we can get ahead of.
