Winger Set To Return

Ipswich's next signing is expected to be announced next week, and when it is it should be a familiar face too as Stephen Hunt is set to sign a new contract.

Mick McCarthy turned to a man that he knows very well on a short-term basis last season when he brought the winger that he worked with at international level with the Republic of Ireland and Wolverhampton Wanderers previously to Portman Road, but that arrangement expired.

Hunt was keen to stay and this wish will be granted when the 32-year-old puts pen to paper on a one-year contract next week to start pre-season training.
