Leeds United vs. Ipswich Town

Elland Road

Town Tackle Leeds

Mick McCarthy is looking to extend his unbeaten run with Ipswich to five games with a trip to Elland Road.

After winning three in a row since a poor home draw with Peterborough, the Blues are starting to look, and act, like a decent side.

Leeds have had a mixed season so far under Neil Warnock and the distraction of a League Cup quarter-final class with Leeds on Wednesday could play into Town's hands.

Vital Quotes:

Blues defender Luke Chambers believes Town no longer play with a fear factor sicne Mick McCarthy took over.

"In games, you see the boys are not as frightened to play," Chambers told BBC Radio Suffolk.

"Its just a different mentality when we're going on the pitch now, and maybe less of a fear factor.

"We've put in some tremendous performances since the gaffer came in and the boys, individually and collectively, have performed the way we all knew we could."

Leeds manager Neil Warnock told the Yorkshire Post: "No-one in my squad should be thinking about Chelsea.

'We`re looking at Ipswich on Saturday and then, to some extent, at Middlesbrough the Saturday after that.

"They`re my priorities, absolutely, because this is such a crucial period for us in terms of the league.

"We want to go as far as we can in the cup and Bradford showed what you can do against the big teams but if my players don`t do what`s asked of them against Ipswich they`ll not be playing against Chelsea. Not a chance. It`s quite simple."

Leeds United Team News:

The game will come a little early for midfielder Randolph Austin who is recovering from a knee injury.

On a rich goal-scoring vein
