Ipswich Town vs. Preston

Portman Road

January 4 2014

Town Chase Cup Glory

Town take a break from their promotion push to entertain Preston in the FA Cup third round.

Latest Wolves signing Sylvan Ebanks-Blake could make his Ipswich debut after signing for the club last month.

Ipswich won the FA Cup for the only time in 1978, Bobby Robson managing them in their only FA Cup final appearance.
Preston have won the Cup twice, in 1889 and 1938, and have been runners-up on a further five occasions.
Results have been tight between the sides in the cup as each has won one of the two previous meetings, both at Deepdale.

Town won the most recent FA Cup meeting 3-0 in a fourth-round win for Ipswich in January 1980.
