Leicester City 3 - Ipswich Town 0

King Moat

Feb 22

Attendance:

Foxes Gobble Up Town Again

Leicester had David Nugent and James Vardy, with Chris Wood on the bench, while Ipswich had Frank Nouble and >> with Alan lee on the bench, therein lies the reason why we are lipping down the table and City looked nailed on for promotion.

Nugent got his obligatory goal against the Blues, the one-time England forward made it 14 times in 13 matches against us.

His 50th goal for Leicester killed off the hopes of Mick McCarthy's men before the half-time whistle after Vardy had given the hosts an early lead.

Sub Chris Wood added a third two minutes from time to leave Ipswich nursing another defeat at the King Power.

In fairness Town deserved to get beat and no excuses will suffice. Daryl Murphy missed chances, as did Cole Skuse and we were woeful in defence.
