When Town Have The Extra Man

When Town Have The Extra Man

After watching the game against Cardiff I am in no doubt that the team are trying really hard to ignite the season and it really is just the confidence that needs to come back.

Mick & Terry coached from the touchline throughout and we very nearly gained that illusive win - although some of the play wasn't very pretty.

Gerken was fantastic in goal and Luke Chambers had an excellent game, setting up several really good chances.

Freddie Sears had some exciting runs and our defence finally settled a bit and began to look more like the defence we had last season.

But for me the outstanding contribution was made by the fans. The supporters never stopped cheering and clapping and singing.

It was an extraordinary atmosphere bearing in mind our current struggles and our crowd deserves massive praise for encouraging our players from start to finish.

That sort of support throughout the 0-0 draw was exceptional and I really hope our determined players, their managers and the amazing crowd will be rewarded very soon.

It's November now so let's hope for the right kind of fireworks soon!
