Time To Save Our Mick!

Time To Save Our Mick!

Recent criticism following the team's poor performances has contributed to what I think may be the end of the McCarthy era.

Mick has been a model diplomat, refusing to criticise his bosses and taking the blame for disappointing results on himself.

Sadly the lack of cash means Mick has done all he can do at Ipswich and so who would blame him for moving on to a club that will give him significant amounts of money to compete with the best Sky Bet championship teams?

It's actually amazing how close Mick and Terry have got us on a shoestring but I don't think all our fans see that. Even now we are very close to finishing in the top 6 and who knows we may do it?

Realistically, if we do finish in the top 6 it'll be down to trying to grind out 1-0 wins against stronger teams though.

It all seems such a shame to lose one of the best managers and to hand the very same impossible task to a younger and less experienced manager.

And then it's all those team changes we had under all the other recent managers all over again!
But that's where we are I fear.

Thank you Mick for all you have done to get us from the bottom of the league to near the top with the tiniest budget. I'd love you to stay but that isn't fair to you.

....Unless of course the unthinkable happens and we do get into the playoffs and then are dramatically promoted...!!!
